When a military parent is mobilized, it is obvious that his or her life is changed dramatically and they need all the support we as Americans can give them. However, what is not quite as obvious is the effect it has upon those they leave behind. Their spouse and children face incredible stress and hardship—and yet the sacrifices these military families make are largely ignored. We feel that the families of members of the United States military are heroes for the sacrifices they endure to ensure America’s continuing freedom and security. We also feel that these heroes need and deserve the support from each and every American citizen.
Our mission at America’s Littlest Heroes, Inc. (a 501c3 charitable organization) is to show America’s support to these families as well as demonstrate our appreciation for the sacrifices they are making in order to protect our country. To accomplish our mission, we provide the children of military personnel with toys, entertainment, letters and cards of encouragement and thanks, and other gifts.
